TEDx Talk — "WEEE Man"
Joshua Lou is a TEDx speaker and internationally acclaimed book author dedicated to tackling the urgent global issue of electronic waste. In Spring 2021, he founded Teens Against E-waste to raise public awareness about the escalating problem of e-waste in our technology-dependent world. He launched the One Million Batteries (1MB) and WEEEcycle global recycling campaigns, in particular, to make a stance that through our united effort, we can take meaningful action against e-waste. Combining his passion for computer science and environmental sustainability, Joshua created a phone-reselling/donating/recycling mobile app called $ellPhone that has been on display in the U.S. Capitol as a national winner of the Congressional App Challenge. In his leisure time, Joshua enjoys cooking, solving Rubik's Cubes, practicing cardistry, and making frequent stops at Chick-fil-A.
